The Sapphire Series M2q is available in four basic models specifically customized for a variety of direct-attached storage subsystems: SCSI-to-SCSI, FC-to-FC, SATA-to-SCSI and SATA-to-FC. The M2q supports up to three Ultra320 SCSI ports or up to eight 4Gb Fibre Channel ports or a combination of SCSI and Fibre Channel for the ultimate in hybrid server and storage solutions.
High performance features include single or dual Quad-Core Xeon processors, up to 16GB system memory, mirrored high-speed drives for the operating system, dual redundant power supply, and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
Sapphire Series Servers are powered by the latest Windows Server 2003 and Linux operating systems. These industry standard operating systems allows the Sapphire Series to be used as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
