Ruby Series Blade Server Up to 10 Blades in One Chassis
The Ruby Series Blade Server offers many advantages over traditional 1U rackmount systems. Up to ten blade servers can be installed in a 7U chassis. Compared to the 10U of rack space that ten 1U servers would normally require as individual servers, the Ruby Series Blade Server provides about 50% density savings with 60 servers and 24 switches in a 42U rack. Housed within a 19" industry-standard rack, Ruby Series Blade Servers reduce the server footprint in the data center. Power, cooling and networking devices are aggregated in the rear of the chassis which optimizes the required amount of space.
With the Ruby Series Blade Servers, more than 100 watts of power can be saved versus a traditional 1U rack-mount server. These savings add up quickly when your Ruby Series Blade Server chassis is fully populated with 10 servers. Utilizing high efficiency (up to 93%) power supplies, Ruby Series Blade Servers can save you $$ while reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
